We are very proud to announce the winners of the Mobile Applications Development Contest, which took place on 31 January 2022. This year’s edition saw 110 participants – students of Applied Computer Science and Information Technology, including Erasmus exchange students from Portugal. A total of 45 projects were submitted.

The aim of the competition was to develop mobile apps to help promote physical activity during COVID-19 lockdown. Due to the prolongation of the pandemic, the life in quarantine conditions and operating from home has led to the wide spread of sedentary lifestyles. This can bring about multiple negative health consequences. The mobile apps submitted by the contestants can support engagement in physical activity during the difficult periods of lockdown. The projects were evaluated by academic teachers: mgr. inż. Jakub Walczak and dr. hab. inż. Piotr Napieralski.

Konkurs Programowania Aplikacji Mobilnych - Laureaci i Jurorzy

The entries were assessed by a professional jury composed of technology and business experts, who examined the practical value and usefulness of the apps.   

The technology sponsor was BinarApps, represented by Adam Przymusiała – chairmain of the company’s management board.

The practical value of the apps was assessed by personal trainers: Weronika Muzyka and Rafał Jankiewicz.

The contest was held under the patronage of the Dean of the Faculty of Technical Physics, Information Technology and Applied Mathematics, Associate Professor Adam Wojciechowski, PhD, DSc.
