The 4th IISA World Championships in Głogów have come to a close. The three-day event saw exceptional efforts from all swimmers, with a world-class performance from our student Tomasz Józefiak, who took home the bronze medal.
Tomasz Józefiak, a student of applied mathematics of our Faculty, won the bronze medal in the 50m backstroke in the 18-24 age category. He represents Lodz University of Technology at Polish Academic Championships in various disciplines: athletics, swimming, cross-country running, indoor rowing, and chess.
The 4th Ice Swimming World Championships in Głogów were held on 3-7 February 2022, over 10 distances, from 1 km to 50 metres. The water temperature in the River Oder was 3 degrees . More than 300 competitors from nearly 30 countries took part in the competition.
