The Polish Academic Karate Championships, which were held on 7-8 May in Warsaw, attracted nearly 100 competitors from 34 universities. Julia Komorowska, a student of applied mathematics at our Faculty, delivered an outstanding performance, reaching the podium twice – individually and in a team.
Our representative gave us a lot of joy, winning two medals:
- Gold in the female team kumite (together with Kinga Harast and Dorota Banaszczyk)
- Silver in the female individual kumite -50 kg

It is worth mentioning that Lodz University of Technology came first in the general classification, repeating its last year’s win.
